If you make it all the way to Escalante, you will probably realize that the number of cars and people you see along your road trip will strongly decline. For us, Escalante what’s the perfect entry point for experiencing the narrow slot canyons around this region. as with most stops on our tours, we didn’t follow the recommendations that you can find on any block or Instagram picture that carries the tag of this place. that’s why we stopped at a local outdoor retailer as soon as we arrived here to ask for insider tips that could make our content more special than the usual content you see from the slot canyons. we were recommended to visit Spooky and Peekaboo Canyon. In order to get there, we had to take a long dusty road followed by a trail which you can only take with a 4 x 4 vehicle. This canyon had all of the features that the famous slot canyons plus the benefit that we found ourselves almost alone here with just a few other visitors.
